Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila, which has been making headlines since the announcement of the film finally hit the OTT platform today, on April 12. Before the film was released on the digital platform, multiple celebrities watched the film at a special screening of the film in Mumbai. The film, which is directed by the exceptional Imtiaz Ali, is now reviewed by several celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri.

Amar Singh Chamkila, which is a biographical drama, revolves around the life of Punjab's musician Amar Singh Chamkila, played by the talented Diljit Dosanjh, with Parineeti Chopra, playing his wife, Amarjot Kaur. Last night, when several celebrities who attended the special screening shared their reactions and reviews of the film post the event.

Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Wamiqa Gabbi & others review Amar Singh Chamkila

Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor Kartik Aaryan, who has worked with Imtiaz on the film Love Aaj Kal was present at the event. Post watching the film, he stated, "It's a lovely film and a beautiful one. I really enjoyed the music. Everyone associated with it, I love them all, especially Imtiaz Ali sir. Hats off to the entire cast and crew of the film."

On the other hand, Triptii Dimri, who became an internet sensation after her blockbuster film Animal stated, "Loved loved loved it. It was so good. I have been a huge fan of Imtiaz sir and he's outdone himself in this one. Even Diljit and Parineeti, they were lovely and I enjoyed it from the beginning till the end. It was really good."

Wamiqa Gabbi, who was also present at the special screening said that she has been listening to Chamkila's songs for a long time and she got overwhelmed after watching the film. She also praised the lead actors of the film as well as the director.

Avinash Tiwary, who was recently seen in Madgaon Express said, "I absolutely loved it. It's a very honest film. It's in a language that I don't understand very much but it still reached you and reached it so well that it touched your heart. It's a story of an artist who stood his ground and fought everyone, and paid the consequences for what he wanted to do. I think it would inspire all the artists around to be more of themselves."

Earlier, when actor and director Sheeba Chadha watched the film, she also said, "Good music. Diljit is always such a delight to watch. Imtiaz, AR Rahman and Diljit are quite a combo."

What is the story of Amar Singh Chamkila?

The film portrays the real-life story of Punjab's original rockstar of the masses, Amar Singh Chamkila. He emerged from poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s for his music. However, his songs also angered many which led to his and his wife's assassination when he was just 27 years old.
